SIOUX CENTER, Iowa The Dakota Wesleyan track and field team set two school records at the Dordt Indoor Invitational on Saturday.
Tamika Irvin set DWU’s indoor record in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.30 seconds. Irvin won the event and teammate Alyssa Christianson finished second with a time of 7.34.
The DWU women’s 1600-meter relay team won the event with a time of 4:03.05, which was also good enough to qualify for nationals.
The DWU men’s 1,600-meter relay team of Dalton Smith, Frank Thompson, Tyler Volesky and Jared DeWaard set a DWU record with a time of 3:25.85. The relay finished fourth in the event. Continue Reading
