It took me 20 years to convince my husband to allow an animal on the furniture and now we had to invest in a king-size bed to make room for his golden retriever plus my mini-collie and the two cats. They’re sure not going to be kicked out at this point and we’re still quite healthy, thank you.

Since my son’s cat has decided her job is to protect him and alert to his seizures, she can sleep wherever she wants. Both cats have the run of the place, and regular housekeeping practices mean no choking on cat hair or wearing an inch of it like some people end up doing.

The only gripe I have is that the furniture store wouldn’t haul away my old mattress because they’re afraid of the bedbug scare (and no we don’t have them). What am I supposed to do with my old mattress?!

Animal hoarding is not something to be taken lightly. Ask the hoarders’ neighbors.
