Not that this whole concept didn’t start me digging my own grave wondering where the money (1.3 mil) went that Purchased this land while we all pay for Street Lighting…..But I finished the 6′ x 6′ x 4′ hole AND selected my coffin upon reaching this little tidbit…
>>>>“We’re looking at covered bridges, where you could have microshops right on the bridges,†he said.
Rent from these 300- to 400-square-foot “microshops†could help cover construction costs.<<<<
Sincerely, how many businesses have folded up just not meeting their Lease/Rent agreements. What sales do these 'planners' expect to see in Jan, Feb, Mar, and Apr in this city???? And they will be 'microshops'….hope their Inventory is HIGH SALES at Low Prices. And Gee, sounds like more minimum wage sales, wait person, bus person jobs doesn't it….
Whoever was getting Excited about all this at 'the meeting' must be in on the ground floor where the Profit will be.
And the rest of us should be Optimistic?

Or…….they could take their plan with them to Florida…..They could use more Tourist Dollars, minimum wage jobs like sales at tourist shops, wait persons, bus persons, bellboys…..no wait, it’s too warm for a skating rink there….hahahahahahahaha All us Snowbirds (cough, choke, gag) would get to patronize it!
