Lyman Co. clerk office in flux after termination

KENNEBEC Lyman County residents, law enforcement officials and a prosecutor wanting to do business at the county clerk of court’s office in Kennebec have had difficulty doing so this month.
Now they must adjust to a new parttime schedule in which the office is only open two days a week 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and as needed. Though clerk of courts offices are in county courthouses, such employees are under the state’s control. Continue Reading

This fits right in with the proposed law that judges don’t ever have to appear in person in a county in order to have jurisdiction there. Are the state and the courts working toward shutting Lyman County down permanently?
