Interesting comment rambo since most of what he talked about was how great this country and its people are. I’m curious as to why you have such a hate for this country?

Obama has spent the last 3 years running down everything about the United States when speaking here and abroad. He makes a couple of positive comments about the country now and we’re supposed to believe he means it. I hardly think so. I prefer to judge him by his actions, not his rhetoric.
Hot debate. What do you think?

His actions are the destruction of the economic and moral fiber of this nation.

Oh so con artist republicans who drove this country into the ground BEFORE Obama was elected, are the examples we should follow? Man do YOU have the blinders on. Dunder Dunder Dunderhead! HO!

Yes, he hated this country so much he wanted to be its President, LOL. You make absolutely no sense. I’d have to agree with Jake.

He hates the capitalist United States of America and is in the process of finishing it off and turning it into an empty shell of it’s former greatness, to a future as a sosialist nanny state.

LOL. Seriously, what is wrong with you people? That is about as ridiculous as it comes.

The usa is nothing but a shell after Bush junior already. Of course you are not smart enough to form an informed opinion in the first place, so obviously you would miss this.

I’m happy you feel beaten. Another whining liberal has spoken. I’m trying to put the best face possible on the Obama Administration. It is actually much worse than I’m saying.

Another speach with nothing but platitudes. He says we need to control spending and then lists off billion dollar projects which government is supposed to initiate. How does that cut spending? The biggest government expenditures are entitlements – SS, Medicare, and the newly created healthcare ‘right’. He mentions not narry a word on how we are going to control these expenditures. His speaches and his actions never seem to match up.
He will do nothing to control government spending and will demonize anyone who makes a serious attempt to do so. This is not leadership – this is (again) voting ‘present’.

Rather than ripping on the president, why doesn’t the Forum put Republicans and Democrats on notice that Americans want to see progress, not a Congress that sits on it’s hands for the next two years waiting for another election.

You are about to see the full court press by every mainstream news outlet to paint Obama as the second coming of Christ. It won’t matter what he does, never has before why should they stop now, just so long as he gives good speeches. Re-election is now the name of the game and if the country goes in the toilet, so be it as long as they can pat themselves on the back because they got their guy in. You won’t see debate on issues, all you will see is personal attacks and the usual vitriolic BS that has been so over-used before that it has become cliche toward any Republican who dares challenge Obama. One watching the post speech coverage would need a barf bag due to the over the top fawning that went on. Never has a man said so little and gotten so much praise.

Rambo wrote, “Obama said he could fix everything. He and the Democrat Congress only made it worse.”
Okay, Rambo, please cite your source that Obama said that. I won’t wait, though. Obama never said any such thing. Not once did I ever read or hear him say that. In fact, I have NEVER heard ANY politician in either party, or in between, say that. They are often quoted by people like you as having said that, but it has never been said. They’ve made claims on which they haven’t produced, but they have never said they’d “fix everything.” (Conrad said years ago that if he couldn’t reduce the deficit he would resign. That was not a smart thing to say, because it is impossible for one person to have that much influence.)
I listened to a lot of speeches by Obama during the election of 2008. I took longer than ever to make up my mind than I had ever before. The phrase that I heard most often was, “It isn’t going to be easy…It’s going to be hard.” NEVER did he say he was going to fix everything…And you, Rambo, call Obama a liar! Grow up. You argue like an 8 year-old.

What was that “hope and change all about” Glenn? What was he running for President for, telling us he was going to fix all the supposed errors of the evil Bush Administration and those hateful Republicans? He hasn’t done squat that is helpfull to anyone except increasing the intrusive reach of the federal government. Nice attempt at defending the indefensible though.

Lol. What can be better than to watch people having a freeflowing exchange of ideas punctuated by name calling, accusations and tongue-in-cheek barbs? The only way these comment boards could be better is if they brought back the Morton Downey Jr. Show at midnight so people could go up to the loudmouth microphones and tear off a piece of someone they’re arguing with, live on the public access channel.
