If he did drink sanitizer that is a violation. So if he didn’t drink it, he either peed on his hands while doing the urine test or absorbed enough through his skin to test positive for alcohol. Really? Okay. Right.

Or, he is on home supervision, in that he has a unit installed in his home, the home monitoring company calls him he dials in with his home test taking machine (which has you blow into a straw) and he had sanitizer on his hands and the fumes could be picked up by the machine. Not saying this is the case but sadly i know quite a few people who have had to use these machines.

Many years ago I was in the lobby of the Sharehouse, waiting on a person I was giving a ride and I witnessed a resident coming back and I guess they have to “blow” upon return from work or any outings and he failed this test and he got very upset and said he had not drank and another woman came down and they repeated the test and he was clear and they came to the conclusion that the original woman who tested him had just used hand sanitizer and that had to be the difference. Had they not took his word into consideration and looked into this, that man would have been taken to jail and who knows what the outcome would have been.

Drunks never lie. Clearly it was the hand sanitizer.
