Right next to the article on the cramped conditions middle school. Too bad some of those millions can’t go to education. How come Rice can do it and our school system can’t.

patricia, although you have exaggerated the amount, a sentence in the story will probably give you the answer why Rice has the latest equipment and technology . “Rice employees raised more than $52,000 through the annual Rice Health Foundation employee campaign to buy the technology, with enough money left over for other patient safety initiatives.”
