Notice where the sand is in this picture. In the middle of the road where you dont drive. If salt dont work (always an excuse when it comes to money) then make up for it with some sand. What’s better, drive on the solid ice as pictured, or putting down a good deal of sand? Look at it this way, the more sand you put down gives the city street sweeping crews job security.

So, the people who disagree are more than happy that they drive on roads that are solid ice? It’s painfully obvious that the effort involved in putting something down on the roads is little to none. Wake up!

Now that the weather will be warm this week, there should be no excuses why there are ice covered roads.

Saw another accident at 10th and Jefferson this evening. Why? Because the intersection was glare ice for 60 feet before the stop sign. She slid right threw it and got T-boned. No sand or salt what-so-ever put down. Great work guys!!!!
