Hmm, I guess I came from a messy house that no one could know about but I became someone with a ‘mostly’ clean house and I don’t care who knows it’s not quite perfect. I do have a toddler after all! LOL I call it ‘lived in’.
Of course a lot of ‘clean’ can be faked ;-

well this article made me laugh. But honestly dear, liquid broccoli……!!! My German heritage stuck in my brain and I’m a cleaner. But I can truly say when I’m at my friends or families homes with toys and things laying around, the occasional pieces of cereal that went uneaten on the table……I can keep it real and understand that it isn’t messy but rather is simply lived in. Although I fear when i do bring a child into this world that I don’t do too much damage imposing my cleaning regiment, lol.
However I regress….liquid broccoli….(shudder)

You forgot the extra insurance of having the fake house all ready, but still throwing out a casual “Please excuse the mess…” as your company enters. It adds to the illusion you usually have it perfectly spotless.

Having been assigned weekly cleaning chores while growing up, and having to redo any that were not up to snuff, I suspect that an unintended consequence is my current dislike for housework. Do I know how? Yup! Want to? Nope!
