Lion hunt protesters try new tactic

FORT PIERRE Members of the state Game, Fish and Parks Commission learned Thursday that two people who received special licenses to hunt mountain lions in the first-ever Custer State Park season this winter had previously testified in favor of protecting lions in South Dakota.
The commission made 10 licenses available for the Custer State Park hunt to be distributed by random drawing. The hunt is open only to South Dakota residents. The drawing attracted 220 applicants. Continue Reading
