Goetz – smart man. Those legislators that introduced the bill to stop the nickname from being dropped, we’ll be waiting to vote you out of office, what they did was a waste of time, money and a demonstration of political pandering.

oh no Grandforkian. Look at the numbers. It’s 70-30 pretty much statewide. And you know what? Let’s say this doesn’t or can’t get fixed by the legislature? As you must recall from your 8th grade ND Studies Class, ND has Recall, Referendum, and Initiated Measure. Citizens could initiate a constitutional measure which if written properly would forever take the name, enshrine it in the constitution, make it impossible to be changed, and take the authority out of the hands of the s.b. of higher ed. How’s that?
