Burlington, VT is consistently ranked one of the best and healthiest places to work and live over and over again. Usually, beating out places like Fargo every time. Vermonters will be more than happy to perhaps pay a bit extra to make sure everyone has single payer health care. It is not surprising to me that businesses there support this. Unlike many of the attitudes of people here businesses can benefit their employees and instead of just have them serve as indentured servants. If you have happy and healthy employees, you tend to have productive employees. When an employee doesn’t have to worry about medical expenses it can make focusing on the job that much easier.
People before profit.
