Who is behind this American Future Fund? China, Japan, BP Oil? No one knows.
This is what is going to be happening now that the conservative Supreme court has made it possible for anyone with lots of money to place ads on TV or radio, slamming a politician and their record and no one knows who the heck is behind it. Also what is their motives?
Does anyone remember when President Obama brought this matter up during his state of the union address, and how it would hurt our country? Then the Supreme Court Justice mouthed the words;”Not true”.
Well it is true and it will be hurting this country and taking away the votes of the average citizen and giving it to who knows who.

Bruce, I believe it was Jefferson and Adams when they wrote the first amendment protecting free speech, especially free political speech who are behind this, ever heard of them? Perhaps Obama should read the Constitution sometime although he may not like it since it doesn’t have any pictures to color. I also don’t seem to recall Conrad being a conservative although he is, like almost every dem. senator, rich.

I am sure Kent knows that we will remember in November of 2012. Let’s finish the good work and elect a GOP Senate and White House.

He should save his money. His presence in ND is no longer wanted or welcome.

If they are going to start taking money for ads, already, then I guess it’s time to turn the station to another one that isn’t playing ads.
When will radio and TV realize that if they take money for ads that people don’t want to hear, they will change the station.. I, personally, will make sure to not buy any product from companies that have annoying ads or play an extreme amount of times.

Perhaps Mr. Conrad should be afraid because of what happen in Arizona? It is not unprecedented in ND for conservatives to threaten politicians with whom they disagree. Are some of you wishing harm on Mr. Conrad?

I’m all for free speech, but having to put up with out of state groups inundating us with their partisan ads is ridiculous. AFF is based out of Iowa. Maybe they should focus on issues affecting Iowa rather than trying to influence what we do here in ND. For starters, they could at least have checked their facts and discovered that Senator Conrad actually did not run for re-election in 1992, and kept his promise. Senator Dorgan got the Dem-NPL nomination for Conrad’s seat, and Dorgan ultimately won the election. Conrad won the special election in 1992 to fill deceased Senator Burdick’s seat. It boils down to this: If the citizens of North Dakota didn’t like how Senator Conrad represents us in Washington, we wouldn’t keep re-electing him.
