Hazing is when a large group players, for example; duct tapes, an underclassman or new player, it can be in good fun as a rite of passage or it can be taken to far. This is a case of bullying. There is a small group of players who for years have been tormenting kids (i.e. urinating on other kids mouth guards, urinating in shampoo bottles, etc.). The ones doing it happen to be a few of the top players. They went after the younger or lower skilled players so it was overlooked. Now they targeted one of the other top players so it finally came out. 3rd or 4th line players on this team who make a mistake in a game or elsewhere are benched or suspended. 1st or 2nd line players who make game mistakes or have problems elsewhere have their transgressions overlooked. Same old sad story when winning is more important than character.

From what I hear from people close to the situation, The Forum got this story wrong. There is no hazing going on. It sounds like things will hopefully get cleared up tomorrow from the school

I know of two Juniors from Moorhead have offered first hand opinions that there was intimidation and bullying involved. Both are prretty straight up kids who are not lying to get attention. Sounds like some kids need to be expelled and make an example for a change.
