JL Beers expands to West Fargo

Inside and out, the new JL Beers in West Fargo looks as if it were plucked straight from downtown Fargo and planted in an open lot at 810 13th Ave. E. a tan brick exterior, a long, slender profile, and even a soon-to-be-installed (and purely decorative) fire escape. Continue Reading

Why would they need a full liquor license, if they are just going to serve beer? Sounds like they are trying to limit other business owners that would like to open a full bar in W Fargo. Nothing new there with that ownership group.

Andy…how would them having a full liquor license limit other business owners? This business is in West Fargo, not Fargo. Fargo limits it’s number of full liquor licenses, West Fargo currently does not.

It isn’t even debatable…JL Beers has the best burgers in Fargo hands down (and great selection of beer too). Understandable that the size can be an issue but i’ve never had problems getting a place to sit. Oh and if that’s a huge issue, you can get growlers and take out.. Wish people would stop complaining and appreciate the fact that we are finally starting to add options for eating rather than watching countless restaurants suddenly closing their doors.

They have good burgers for Fargo, but the variety of burgers is limited. I also think they put too much salt on their fries and the burgers a little small. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, but annoying when I am in a hurry and can’t wait for a table or open place at the bar. Overall, I would rate the place a 3 out of 5.

They have like 10 different burgers on their menu – much more variety than the same fatty burgers that McDonalds offers – who has a better selection?
If you don’t like the wait, order to go – we don’t want to sit with your negative attitude anyways.

Rodney, it’s more like 8 different burgers and where’s the fresh blue cheese or goat cheese, and gourmet bun? All I see are the usual burger options.
