Why not have mndot plant trees on the eastern side of 29, then the playing field will be level. That commercial zone would then look nicer with trees on both sides of 29.

IS this story real? Seriously? This is news that people honestly need to know about whats going on in the city/county? Now we are going to cry about some trees? Dont people have more important things to worry about in life? Spare me!

There’s money to overhaul the place for a new name and look but a couple trees are going to keep it from staying open is absolutely hilarious. What’s next, the grass in the ditch is to long? There’s only leaves on the trees for 4 months out of the year, so not being able to see it is a complete joke. Come up with something better for your excuses.

The council is happy to have everyone talking about trees, How about the tax increase in a year were property values have plummeted they raise the tax.

I can see all those businesses just fine! They are just complaining because people are always going to Walmart instead of Target, or other motels from cheaper prices! Target is still high priced! So are a few hotels, or motels. A lot of people around town do their bargain shopping, especially around the holidays. The leaves on the trees only fully blossom in the summer and that lasts about 2-3 months. Wow.. how can it kill their economy? I think they should admit its their high property taxes.. complain about that than the trees? lol The winter is bad enough!?

Just drove out that way again and took a close look. There are 3 trees directly in front of Tennessee Roadhouse. Yes, all 3. There is a 30 yard gap between each one. You can see ALL the businesses just fine, with or without leaves. I cannot believe this is a story.
