I would hope the Preservation Alliance group will finally let go of this concern over the old resource center and move on to more serious things. I would like to see them focus on how to stop greedy farmers from plowing right up to the grave stones in old rural cemetery’s. One of those is the Amo Lutheran cemetery, rural Storden, MN. I was told a story by an elderly resident who originally lived at Dunnell, MN., who said she remembered watching a farmer who plowed so close to a grave that the plow bottom caught against a part of the grave. He kept going and never stopped to see what he struck. I have heard of farmers plowing up old cemetery’s and I was told that they are actually allowed to do it if they have met certain conditions from the state. This horrify’s me! I would like to see the Preservation Alliance group look into matters like this.
