Strip club plans recalled; owner unreachable
After drawing up remodeling plans for the troubled Bada Bing strip club, Marty Ness suspected something wasn’t right when he saw the billing address provided by the club’s owner. It belonged to the dilapidated, vacant building on the outskirts of Fargo that housed the establishment. Continue Reading

He is probably busy rebuilding the metrodome roof or collecting unemployment.

No water or sewer, no well, ——-big suprise. What was he expecting his patrons to just go outside and relieve themselves??

More likely there is some code that says you need X-amount of stalls for a given number of patrons. He probably only had a single uni-sex restroom, given that it is a bare-bones warehouse.

No, there is no plumbing at all in the building.

The photographer must have thrown the beer cans out there for effect. You couldn’t buy those inside. More nice work by the Forum.

Really? I’m all for exposing the Forum for their bias but you think they placed the beer can there? Ever been to a tail gate party where liquor isn’t allowed inside? Yeah people were probably in the parking lot chugging beer.

Those cans and other garbage were there prior to the city or the Forum even knowing about Bada Bing. Get off the conspiracy wagon.

the guy was most likely a front man, and whoever was the quiet money has decided to move on. “Benzinger,” which is almost certainly not on any birth certificate, is not going to show up again. Methinks Fargo dodged a bullet here. this is the pattern of how the mob moves into new territory.

Really? Everyone knew how this would turn out in the end from the very first moment we heard about Badabing not meeting code. The fact the LJA went after this project shows extremely poor judgment, 4000 dollars right down the toilet.

Congrats fargo you ruined one more thing that could be fun. Seriously it is so lame in this town everything can’t open til noon on sundays and is closed by 6pm. Hardly anything open 24 hours other than walmart(except on saturday/sunday) krolls, dennys, or fryn pan or perkins and a few mcdonalds drive thrus. It is not 1800′s and not everyone is all churchy-churchy! We were barely able to get the lottery a few years ago and we still don’t have scratch tickets.

From day one and still to this day, I believe there were other ‘motives’ for opening this ‘club’, other than for just entertainment purposes……
I think it was a business front for more of a dishonest operation.

Why does God make good looking women if he doesn’t want people to look at his beautiful creation? Sad you don’t admire the handy work.

I was sort of rooting for this guy. It’s always neat when someone comes up with a business plan that skirts (no pun intended) the rules. But you can’t have a public (glad I remembered the “l” in that last word) place without being up to code. If he had been up to code (and he could have had city business inspectors review it prior to it’s opening, but just not tell them the specifics of the club), I think he’d still be in business.

The mob? Well,I guess you have a valid point there. After all, it was named Bada Bing just like on The Sopranos. If he would have named it Radio Shack nobody would have ever known.

I’m pretty sure God has more important things to do than close down the Bada Bing. More importantly, where’s Tony gonna have his meetings now?

It’s too bad that the introduction of some diversity in the entertainment industry has failed. At the same time, if the organizers behind Bada Bing can’t even keep the most rudimentary form of compliance in check, they deserve the current outcome.
I just hope that someone else picks up where they left off, and does it right.
It’s anyone’s choice to attend or look away, but standing in the way of progress – even adult entertainment is progress – is generally not a good idea.

Add on: Nice staging for the photo, Forum Photog.
1, The beer cans show a nice trail towards the building, leading your eyes, while there are no other beer cans visibly close by. Meeting of the beer cans, maybe?
2, If it’s not staged (unlikely) – It’s obviously an archived photo, otherwise you’d have to add some snow.
3, Was the photog driving under the influence? The leading beer can in the image looks rather unharmed and…fresh.
4, Budweiser only and a lonely can of Mtn Dew? No half empty Vodka bottles, Whiskey carrying devices or the ever popular “Goldschlager” and Jagermeister?
That’s really a disappointing photo to lead an otherwise rather stripping story.

Looks like the slimeballs in town are going to have to find something else to do for entertainment. Thank goodness it never opened–I feel sick that our society is becoming one where nothing is considered obscene or immoral..absolutely nothing.

Did you read the article? He stiffed the architect, folks. Quit crying conspiracy and do a little public search of past and present Anoka County Court records. Interesting reading. Look at the most recent. You should easily conclude that Fargo and the Forum had nothing to do with his undoing.

Interesting – I get 1 misdemeanor conviction for theft, 1 gross misdemeanor conviction for possessing shoplifting gear, 1 misdemeanor conviction for mail theft, 1 misdemeanor conviction for assault, 1 felony conviction for burglary, and 1 felony conviction for check forgery. I also find cease and desist orders related to a business, as well as zillions of people complaining about him, his family, and their business(es). What are we missing?
