From the article: “The budget also includes a 2 percent across-the-board increase in employee wages and salary increases for department heads that were delayed this year.” … so my question876s: With no one attending the meeting to give a thumbs down to the tax hike, are the taxpayers of Alexandria okay with giving the salary increases? Or are they just numbed into submission by the outrageous idea of giving a pay raise to public employees in a recession?
