Proposed TIF district will be discussed by planners today

A proposed tax increment financing district in Mitchell will be discussed during a Planning and Zoning Commission meeting today.
The district’s plan was submitted by ProBuild of Mitchell, formerly United Building Center. It was reviewed by the Tax Increment Financing Review Committee on Nov. 30.
A TIF is a development plan that uses revenue from future taxes on improved properties to pay for public improvements. This proposed TIF has been termed District 15 in Mitchell. Continue Reading
