Maybe you can tell me how all these foreigners are getting CDLs (commercial driver’s licenses) when they cannot read, write or speak English. If they are going to allow this, they might as well throw all other safety regulations out the window. Continue Reading

If carriers would stop turning a blind eye just to put a body in a seat, safety in our industry would improve immensely. Though it has improved dramatically over the years, there still room for improvement.
If I remember right there were one or two rollovers last year with unqualified and inexpeirenced ‘truck drivers’ behind the wheel of these beet truck. Unfortunately you do not need a CDL to operate a beet truck in seasoning (farm exempt) and alot of regular car driver are seeing that as a easy money maker. And depending on how your paid and how many hours you work a shift, you run hard and push yourself.
As far as the fuel surcharge goes… Yes it is legal… Is right, no… but it’s legal.
