It doesn’t make sense to me, he has no motive to burn down the church?

As the article states, he “lit a fire to cover his tracks”. That sounds like a motive to me. This guy has had issues for a long time. It’s just a shame that someone didn’t stop or help him before this had to happen. Just look at his record. This isn’t the first time he has been arrested for theft and theft is far from his only offense.

Yes, he had issues, as a matter of fact his mother was working with getting him into treatment. I’m sure he wasn’t intending to do this before he did it, opportunity and inebriation were main factors when this happened.

I know my brother and I know that this fire was not intentional. He has a good heart, he just needs to work some things out in his life. We were in the middle of trying to get him into treatment. Yes he has a record, but arson was never a part of it. He was just trying to get out of the cold. He may have done some things that he shouldn’t have in the process, but the fire wasn’t one of them. He was under the influence and I’m sure that things just got out of control while he was attempting to warm up. No one knows the whole story so no one has a right to judge him just yet. I love you Josh with all of my heart, and I will stand up for you no matter what until the day that I die.
