I absolutely understand the need to protect the diversion from erosion. My only concern is that by keeping it dry, would they be placing significantly more stress on the natural channel? It’s going to be more difficult to armor the winding natural channel in the middle of people’s back yards than it would be to improve the armoring done to the diversion. I would just hate to see what happened in Crookston, where huge slab of earth and several houses slumped several feet, happen in West Fargo.
