We came to North Dakota with the Air Force in 1973 and retired to a southern state in 2003. It is people like Gunny Schmidt that we will always remember as representative of the great state of North Dakota. Being Louisiana natives, it is the Dakotas that we hope to return to live out our days. The people are the best and the story about Gunny Schmidt is really uplifting. Thanks GF Herald.
