I would politely invite every religious person to sit back, really think about the history of your religion, and look at the problems its caused. Look at the realities. I know many catholics believe, as it says in the bible, that women should be under the control of men. This is bad for everyone. Look at all the deaths around the world, (Africa) that have been caused by catholics telling their underlings to not use condoms. This is bad for everyone. There’s a lot to look at in all religions. I’d invite all religious people, to temporarily pretend they are atheists, and pretend they have that world view. The first thing that happens, at least it did for me, is you get an insatiable desire to learn all you can about all religions. Interesting that. Just try it, pretend to have the godless world view and see what happens. I’ve already been religous in case you are wondering so I don’t even have to pretend for that. Been there done that and freethinking godlessness is way better to me.
