i had a c-section with both my boys & don’t think i would have changed my choice at all.. The frist was not by choice, we had 44 hours of intense labor & had to break the water after 24 hours then HAD to take my son after 20 hours of that due to the increased possiblity of brain damage… my dr told me that if i were to have a normal delivery on anymore children, the baby would have to be later thatn 2 years AND under 8 lbs. well once i found out i was pregnant again 6 years later i mentioned the possiblity of a scheduled c-section (44 hours of labor the first time was WAY too much & the possiblity of my baby being under 8 lbs was questionable). we did end up scheduling my second son a week before his delivery date & THANK GOD we did… he was 9 lbs a week early! would have had to cut him out anyways! My healing was yes a bit longer than that of a natural birth & no i have not lost ALL of the baby fat, but i was happy whit my choices.
