The idea that hospitals are run like corporations- bought and sold to bigger and bigger companies- REALLY makes me nervous. I want my local hospital to have a heart. :/

It is awful that since Sanford and Merit Care merged that they have created a lot of good paying jobs. What a bunch of heartless monsters.

What jobs have been ‘created’? They let go a bunch of people who were redundant between the two companies and they they have been buying or merging with existing clinics and hospitals. I don’t see any new jobs being created there.

Really, I know of 150 new I.T. jobs that are going to need to be filled. All in Fargo.

If they did create any new jobs I highly doubt it has anything to do with the good of the community. When they inadvertently do something good you can’t just say “oh look they have a heart.”
The main point is that the only thing I want my hospital to do is provide quality health care. If they have to hire or fire people to do that doens’t make any difference to me.
