Tuesday’s announcement was an emotional one for the administrator who led the crafting and execution of the district’s long-range facilities plan.

The DNT already had a comment section with the other story? What happened to it? Why don’t they merge them.

That’s to bad he is leaving so soon… Johnson Controls must not need his help anymore.

It seemed to me the only Factual statement by people who were ‘quoted’ in this article was made by Mr. Welty……
The others are still under Dixon’s Pied Piper invoked Trance, trying to keep their on PR Savvy reputation as being a ‘nice’ person, or giving Dixon a ‘Hallmark Send-off’.
It’s so nice to have an opinion…..it’s mine…..all mine…..even if others don’t agree LOL

I would imagine he’ll have a comfortable retirement, due to Pera and JC.

There must be one more school district that needs to be obliterated somewhere. Come on Johnson Controls, give us the inside information, where are you sending him next?

I pretty much stayed out of this stuff, as I dont live in Duluth and I dont (and will never again) pay Duluth taxes.
But I’ll tell ya one thing. There is a LOT of anger out there about this.
They shoulda let the people of Duluth vote on this like they wanted, instead of using a loophole (which I think has been closed now) to get around it.
Now, no matter what happens, this will always be viewed as having been forced down your throats and that it came about by means of a “dirty trick” to PREVENT the tax payers from having a say.
Not good for the schools, and not good for the taxpayers.

Dixons bonus from Johnson Controls must have come through. Why should he stay around now that he has lined his pockets, at enormous taxpayer expense and pain. As is typical of a coward, he hits and then runs. I wish Dixon all the evil in the world.

I highly doubt he will “retire.” He is “retiring” from the the school district. I bet he already has a gig lined up doing consulting work, or a high position with Johnson Controls.
