Walk scores a new tool for homebuyers

When Nikki Olson and her husband purchased their Duluth condo four years ago through Edina Realty, the listing didn’t yet include walk scores, the agency’s new buyers tool that rates a home’s proximity to amenities. But learning that their home has a highly walkable 88 rating out of 100 came as no surprise to Olson.

Truly curious…..do these folks actually walk that area at 10 or 11 p.m. also? Or do they drive then.
Not wishing these folks any ill will, but I hope they get interviewed in depth about the walking score after they have been mugged. Seems to me they have been Very Lucky in the past 4 years while trekking to the bank on foot. The cops can’t be everywhere, every minute.

Heh, so realtors don’t take an area’s crime rate into account? Looks like the naive are the targeted buyers. My “walk score” would be based on the less concrete/asphalt the better. You couldn’t pay me to live in the central hillside.
