WORTHINGTON If you haven’t ventured north of the big corner lately, the newly placed stoplights at the intersection of Ryan’s Road and U.S. 59 may sneak up on you. Continue Reading

the real solution is bypass the town with the main road. right now any truck traffic moving freight along highway 59 (there are hundreds of trucks a day)is directed by the signs to follow 59 to the big corner, along oxford and back onto 59/60 south. Not a good or safe plan. Common sense says 59/60 traffic needs to be directed out and around town. the reason the bypass failed was economics. I for one dont like doing battle with truck traffic and farm traffic. When you go to Sioux Falls shopping there are truck routes and bypasses. You can shop, eat out, and enjoy. The reason many people dont shop worthington is economics. We dont respect greed at the expense of economics and common sense. Divert the truck traffic out and around worthington and watch it grow.
