Heed public’s will on ban
Today’s a great day for South Dakota.
Because the state’s smoking ban extends to almost all remaining indoor businesses, employees in bars, restaurants and casinos will be able to breathe fresh air. Continue Reading

Hope you still feel it’s a “great day” in South Dakota. Last nite, my husband and I went to our local bar to have a drink, play some darts and while there, in walks to young mothers with their children, approximately 2 and 1 yr olds. The mothers sat and drank while they children screamed their fool heads off. Then a mom, dad and approximately a 6 yr old and an 8 yr old came. Same scenario, the parents drank for a couple of hours. All parties, now impaired, left with children in the car and drove home. But dang, they can now feel free to bring their kids to the bar because there is no smoke. Are you proud??????? And the local people who usually are there, feeding the lottery, drinking and smoking, are not there any more. So this bar is going to be in trouble. But then the people who voted for this bill dont care about the small business owner. And although you voted for the non-smoking bill so you could have your “right” to go to a bar and not indure smoking – where are you now? Are you supporting that bar? Are you playing video lottery like a demon to make up for all those who are not going now? The State of South Dakota is going to be in serious trouble in the coming year. Hope you are saving up because your taxes are going to go up – dramatically or services are going to be cut! You have the right to go to smoke free facility but I also have the RIGHT to go to a smoking facility. How did your rights become more important than mine? I pay taxes!
