NOM (National Organization for Marriage) is behind the recent politicization of state judiciary campaigns for no other reason than to stop same-sex marriage. I don’t care if you’re for or against same-sex marriage, but at least have the foresight to see what the long term consequences of special interests determining the makeup of the judiciary. NOM aligns itself with the same people that use the “but the founding fathers” arguments. As Lloyd stated in the letter:
“…the words of Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 78 should be given some credibility. The independence of judges is important, Hamilton argued, ‘to guard the Constitution and the rights of individuals from the effects of those ill humors which the arts of designing men … sometimes disseminate among the people.’”
Have whatever opinion you might about same-sex marriage, but please don’t screw up the system because of on decisive issue. Your children will thank you when they can still get a fair trial.

Under Obummer Care, in the future you may not be able to get the medical care you need or desire. Once the private insurance companies are destroyed and we are all forced into the government run version, that is what will happen. Need a by-pass? Good, Senator Countrywide needs a significant politcial contribution in 2012.
