Congratulations Morrie. You and your new found majority are now in a position to bring regulatory sanity and fiscal responsibility to Minnesota.
The first, and most important, issue is the of redistricting legislative districts.
Party unity and single-mindedness to reestablish base Republican ideals of personal responsibility, individual freedom, lower taxes, and less government spending must take precedent over individual legislative district’s needs or wishes. And, yes, that includes flood control if necessary. End the days of Keith Langseth’s massive pork ladened bonding bills.
There is much to do and little time before the governor’s race recount is settled. The Republican caucus must work quickly and decisively before Dayton gets his foot in the door and can veto the changes needed to undo the damage done to Minnesotans under the Democrats over the last 4 years.
We wish you every success in this endeavor.
