Finally!! and remember the only people you owe anything to are the ones you represent-even the ones that didn’t vote for you.

LOL…Kriesel didn’t return a phone call seeking comment. Shocking from a candidate who wasn’t visible at all during the election. Aside from that, I like John. I hope he succeeds and serves 57A well. But, remember as Buzz said, it’s about your constituents, not about your party or outside influences. I’m already dismayed to hear the GOP in Washington saying they take the vote as a referendum and not as an opportunity to make ideas from both sides work. The USA won’t be great again until we realize that people on both sides of he isle have good ideas, and we start working together and not just red against blue…we’re in a political civil war and it isn’t good for the country.

It’s astonishing that we elected a candidate who stayed out of the spot light, did not participate in debates, provided limited and canned information on his back ground, was spoon fed and funded by Karl Rove and the Tea Party, never once detailed specifics how he would work across the aisle to address our state’s problems, wrapped himself in the flag, distributed literature about valor, truth, and honor, then hid his criminal record of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. This speaks volumes of how the voters are naive enough to be lied to and duped by the Republicans. These Republicans have absolutely no shame. I wish John all the best, but he has a lot of work to do to show the people he will serve them.

I hope to see John step up to the plate and get more visible in the public, afterall, he is a public official, now. I think the voters selected John on the platform of anyone but Jen.

By all of the TV and newspaper coverage of our new representative (more coverage than the many others elected statewide), I think I’m seeing “sour grapes” in the comments of John not being visible. And a pretty bold accusation by a Lumber Jack who probably has his own record to conceal if I was a betting man.

LCD – you are as delusional as Bennie. Kriesel wasn’t seen anywhere LOCALLY during the campaign nor since his win. His only public comments, that weren’t part of his campaign literature, came when he did an article apologizing for the GOPs character destruction of Jen (which I commend him for). I don’t give a rats butt if he is on FOX news, in the StarTribune or whereever…I want to see our local representative here. He campaigned in DC for crying out loud.

Sounds like “sour grapes” to me also. But hey, everyone has a right to their opinion.

Chris, turn on a TV or Radio every once in awhile and you would have heard a number of interviews before he was even elected. And a very well run campaign with more effective use of time on the ground door knocking to tell everyone he could in the district that he would like their vote and what he stood for. His not participating in a debate was probably only noticed by the 10 residents who attended it.
All I saw of Jen’s qualifications was claiming she should be elected because she successfully survived a failed marriage and is raising her kids. (SWC Bulletin quote to that effect from her before election) And another quote from her that she thinks she needs to add a gas tax because we little guys need to conserve more and taxing us into bankruptcy would stop that waste. Was a no-brainer choice with those credentials, IMO.
