Why not call a tax increase a tax increase and quit beating around the bush. The money goes to the General Fund of the city.

I am curious. What is the average power consumption of a home in Fargo/Moorhead. I turn off my lights/tvs when not using them and try to conserve electricity, but it is rare to get the usage below 2,000 Kwh/month.

Perhaps the energy costs should be tied into the rate of inflation just like cola for social security and other retiree benfits. If that was how it worked my bet is the way inflation is figured would change too.

I doubt if there is anyone, anywhere who hasn’t experienced some additional energy cost increases these past several years.
