Club featuring nude dancers tiptoes into outskirts of Fargo
October 19, 2010 at 7:08 pm in INFORUM
For an establishment with decidedly hardcore undertones, Bada Bing, a new fully nude strip club on the outskirts of Fargo, certainly staged a soft opening. Continue Reading

Good luck! A metro area pushing a quarter million people needs a place like this. It’s going to improve the entertainment scene in the area and since it’s not in town, it shouldn’t offend the EOUCNDPP. (AKA Easily Offended Ultra Conservative North Dakota Puritan Prudes)

I’m sure that is right by where you live with your superior holier than all attitude. People need to leave it alone – if you don’t like it don’t go – you live your life and keep you religious self serving morally superior attitude to yourself – people are tired of being lectured.

I have no preference either way, don’t really care. Still reading these posts I can’t believe how some people stoop to the level of trying to slam religions before any have even spoken? Shows an unbelievable lack of cognizant ability and understanding. This club will attract a small crowd that will undoubtedly have its share of scum. So do some churches, but I think we all know which of the two locations has the most undesirables.

Jujubee, my mother was a feminist who worked for the Equal Rights Ammendment (ERA). She was the regional secretary for the National Organization for Women (NOW).
She was VERY clear on her opinion of this kind of enterprise. These women are ground breakers of womens rights who chose what they do with their bodies, and as long as they do so with total free choice, they open the doors for YOU to make any choices you want in what you wear or where you can go.
You should be commending them, not ostracizing them.

The men who attend places like this are the ones getting the short end of the stick. The women just run around with no clothes on and the guy’s throw their money at them. The girls are just doing what they can in a free economy to make money off of men. They can likely make more money at a place like this than they could doing anything else, so I do not believe that they are being treated poorly by being paid to do nothing except look good (or not so good) naked. Don’t get me wrong, the men have the right to spend the money on whatever they want. It just is not a good value in my opinion.
As far as NOW is concerned, any activity that diminishes the role of family in American life is acceptable and encouraged. The only oppression women really face in the eyes of these women’s groups is marriage and children.

“A large portion of these girls arent doing this by choice.”
False. Everybody has a choice. Nobody is forced to do it.
“They’re doing it because they feel they have no other option in life.”
On what authority do you make this claim? How do you think you know this?
“They’re doing it because they’ve never known what its like to have a man respect a woman.”
Come on. Now you’re just being silly. You have no way of knowing why strippers are strippers and you certainly can’t stake the claim that they’re poor, abused-by-men slaves with no options in life. Oh, those darn men, right?
In any case, what you just posted is not true, nor would you have any way of qualifying such a bold assertion.

NOW at one time was an important group that advocated for womens rights. But today their numbers have shrank dramaticaly. They take positions that are no longer supported by the majority of American women. They totally devalue and deride any woman who has a conservative political view or wants to be a stay at home mother. They have become nothing but a shrill voice for the liberal adjenda, a shadow of the former great organization of womens rights that is was.

Our city has progressed past the point of back warehouse secret rooms used for entertainment. Its time our CITY PLANNER…. oops we don’t really have one do we…..
Its time for our City Planner to develop districts so venues like this are placed in appropriate locations. They should be grouped so they are not only convenient for the patrons, but compliment other business’s success in the community and are easy to have appropriate law enforcement.
To try to zone them out is not only backwards and puritanical, but it establishes a business environment where prostitution and drug dealing will prevail and the law will have difficulty dealing with it because they set up an adversarial relationship with the business owners.
If these people are not allowed to sell alcohol, or any other products, how do you think they will pay their bills? Think about it.

If you don’t like stuff like that then don’t go. But don’t sit there and bash other people for going. I personally don’t have the need or reason to go to a place like this, HOWEVER… I see nothing wrong with making entertainment like this available to those who do like it. It’s a free country. It’s quite apparent that Mr Benzinger is being proactive and respectful of Fargo residents. He’s not looking to make a big deal out of this and neither should we. He’s just trying to run a business. Actually default I am qualified. I’ve known several women who did this because I used to live in a motel many years ago where the local strippers stayed while in town. Got to know them very well and all about the profession. Over half were moms trying to make it with a kid and working a few hundred miles from home to avoid being recognized. A fourth were total scum and the remainder I didn’t meet. I also know a lot about the clientele at these places and you’d be hard pressed to find many men there. Usually old perverts looking to get off, a lot of drunks, and some young guys going to have fun on a guy’s night out. The majority are just old perverts and scum bags. This place WILL die soon. It’s a dive, has a poor location, and without booze the drunks won’t even want to go there. On rare occasion I’ve gone to a few men’s clubs with friends but there’s nothing in this region I’d want to see.

Garrett, Yes I’ve been to a few over the years, it was fun, and I was with some guys who wanted to check it out for fun. No I have no reason to want to go again, wasn’t that taken by it. Someday if with the right group of people, perhaps?Whatever. Fact still remains that the majority of the clientel who go there are sleezey guys and drunks. If you can’t seperate the groups you simply will never undrstand. This region can’t support such a club with high quality entertainers so that rules out businessmen. The drunks have no real reason to go. Some kids will always go for fun just to check it out and do the manly thing for acting out in front of their friends for a brief perod of time. Still the majority who need to go there are scum bags looking for a cheap thrill and most of them do it drinking. Actually the funnest part about going to these places (for a normal person) is to look at what fools so many guys make of themselves. That’s really the most entertaining part. It’s a total comedy from that perspective. I am just still turned on more than enough by my wife and don’t need the inspiration. Kind of hard to get into the mood around a bunch of guys like tat anyhow:-)

That’s very hypocritical. I’m not defending mamabear, that was very out of line too. But you make no sense. A place like this exists because members of the community want it to. Not all, but some. And they are allotted that freedom. Stop trying to be our moral compass, if you can’t get your own straight. This might not have flown where you are from, but your not there anymore.

Abu you need to look deeply within yourself to determine if you come to a new place, whether your intent is to assimilate to the local culture, or try imposing your morals and culture on the new location you come to.
It is very narrow minded of you to earlier state that this is ” a country of open thought and freedeom” and then in the next breath try imposing your narrow version of morality onto others. Rather you should be celebrating that everyone gets to share their views without fear of reprisal from poorly educated Mulah’s who refer to a book written by uneducated herdsman as the source of all knowing wisdom!
Food for thought. If you have the ability to open your mind.

You know, people don’t take a moral high ground to make the world a better place, they do it do control other people.
Like it not Jujubee, sex is a product that is sold, it always has been, is now, and will always be. Its an adult product borne of individual freedom. As long as you have adults willing to buy it, it will be sold.
Live with it, and instead of judging people for something you have no control over, try to guide it in a healthy direction.
Remember, Mary Magdelene was someones daughter too.

Vertigo–I was molested. I don’t consider myself as judging but as a voice crying in the wildneress to make sure people understand what is at stake and that they are opening up a can of worms they will be unable to control.

Gee Jujubee, I didn’t realize you went into a stripclub and got molested! Oh.. .I know, it didn’t happen IN the club, but outside after the perverts left…. no????
I know, the perverts left a strip club drunk.. oops, that can’t have happened here, huh? Well lets assume they did… and they molested you THEN!!!
I think you are getting the point. I am sorry you had something bad happen to you, but to castigate people… justifying it because you were molested is not only innapropriated but it does injustice to those who actually were molested. It undermines their story and their pain for your moralistic self serving purposes.
Just because something bad happened to you doesn’t give you the right to judge. Picket courtrooms to get stricter punishments of molestors… not take away adult entertainment from adults.

Strip clubs don’t promote molestation, nor are they a cause of it. I’m not sure why you chose to share that detail with us all, especially considering its total irrelevance to the article you’re commenting on.
