Our view/Endorsement: Fire Fink for Jewell of a county commissioner
October 14, 2010 at 7:00 pm in Duluth News Tribune
Celebrated, longtime community activist Frank Jewell knows exactly why he’s running for St. Louis County Board. His reasons are some of the same strong arguments Duluthians in the 1st District can consider before voting Jewell into office on Nov. 2.

Interesting …
Community organizer.
Just like Obama
Never held a real job
Just like Obama
Wants to raise your taxes
Just like Obama
Just another Liberal.
Rather than vote for this guy, (less services for higher taxes), it seems the DNT is guiding you to vote AGAINST the other guy.
Well, whatever you folks vote for is up to you. I mean, what harm can one more Liberal Politician, Never held a Job, Tax and Spend Community Organizer really do?

Really DNT is getting behind this guy. I consider myself a moderate with liberal tendencies but I am still not going to vote for this guy. He was the idiot harrasing all the college students about their signs during Freshmen move in day for UMD. Jewell is so full of “PC” bull cr_p if he gets his way none of us will be able to speak our minds or tell a joke.

Looks like Fink has the pro-sexual harrassment vote sewn up.

Thank goodness the voters are not as stupid as the DNT editorial board.
The last person I want as a commissioner is another tax-raising liberal. Fink is the only commissioner on the county board that has brought real federal money to the county – and I don’t give a damn if he did it while using KY and enjoying some adult entertainment. Why the DNT insists on republishing this over and over and over only shows how intent they are on pushing a liberal agenda.
This article was akin to a craigslist rant or a high school underground newspaper. PATHETIC.

Thank god most voters are not as stupid as the people posting comments in support of Dennis Fink. The last thing I want as a county commissioner is someone without integrity or scruples who takes advantage of the lack of oversight of county commissioners to enrich himself. Mr. Fink and other commissioners allotted themselves twice the IRS rate for mileage reimbursement for business travel. Mr. Fink lives it up while traveling on county business — staying at $331/night hotel rooms. If Mr. Fink truly has brought federal money to St. Louis County — which I would like solid proof, other than Mr. Fink’s ciaiming it’s so — I think it’s all going back into his pocket. He’s got to go. We can’t afford to keep this man in office.
