Would the school board please consider developing a marketing plan to attempt to get back the more than 300 students who live in the PR school district but choose not to go to school here! At over $5,000.00 per student in state funds that would more than pay for the money need by the levy extension and higher taxes. Instead of asking for more money each year, find out why so many PR children go to Nevis and other districts and make some changes to attrack them back into the funding equation. Numerous news articles have been published lately about how many school districts throughout the state have marketing plans and how they have NOT need to ask for extra levies. Be smart! You are all educators who expect the best from the students; why should we not expect the best from you?
