Keeping our local services available, particularly illness outbreaks or preventing infections for our young and our most medically fragile is a high priority. How can we do that by downgrading our Public Health Services when all of the information reported by the Globe clearly pointed to a way to improve and support our current system during a time when EVERYONE knows that budgets will be cut across the State of Minnesota and the Country? When presented with two equal opportunities for sucess then I would say that the County Commissioners would have a good point to stay local but here you have the people from SWHHS, The Minnesota Department of Health, some Commissioners, and very importantly, the Current Director for Nobles/Rock Public Health with his own job on the line is saying to our elected officials that a stand alone model will result in the losss of services and the loss of jobs. Seems like this one is easy, let’s move forward and get to working on the hard issues that face Nobles County!
