The charter school says building on Rice Lake Road will be cheaper than expanding and upgraded the buildings it currently leases.

I am all for this expansion, but they also need to think of the traffic impact this will have on Rice Lake Road. As it is, United Health Care brings a tremendous amount of traffic to this area, and to add a K-8 school with all their traffic would create a bit of a problem, I would think.

They get a badly needed new building and we did not have to deal with a property tax levy. Win-win.

I wonder why these charter schools are so popular?

Rice Lake Road isn’t the problem – it’ll be Arrowhead Road from the East that is the problem. Overall though, development will continue up Rice Lake Road for obvious reasons….good land, close to downtown/Mall/Airport for probably reasonable prices.
