As someone who has property in the area I for one don’t have a problem with these establishments. I find the noise from traffic on 13th Ave worse than any late noise from any of the bars in the area. Just another NIMBY issue.

Just wondering how much noise comes from people who have to go outside to smoke? I know when NY City started their smoking ban, the main complaint was the noise from people outside smoking.

The people pushing this are the retired elderly that live in a development on the north side of 13th by Three Lyons Pub, the noise from the smokers standing outside is not bad at all.

More bars, but not restaurants? Now there’s something that’s really lacking in town.

Well it would seem that there is a demand for it, if they are building them.

Alcohol is a legal substance. I don’t drink at all, but for city commissioners to whine that there are too many alcohol establishments is silly. If the people feel that there are “too many” bars in town, don’t worry they will be out of business soon when nobody goes there.

JL Beers has about the best burger and chips in Fargo and very reasonable. I’d expect the same in West Fargo. And a very quiet crowd. I’m almost a senior citizen and I love the place.
