WILLMAR Three felony charges of theft by swindle have been filed against Chad Michael Johnson, 38, of Willmar, for allegedly taking $15,300 from the Willmar Fire Department for his personal use.

This I don’t get, you work for the fire department for 12yrs, risking your life for others, and performing a community service, then go ahead and steal money that does not belong to you from the fire departments fund. Everyone is having some kind of financial problems now a days, but we don’t use this to justify stealing money. We don’t take money period that doesn’t belong to you! That is like stealing money donated to the food self. This fund is no doubt used for equipment replacement, and other vital needs that help the department function in their effort to provide the community with needed emergency service. What doesn’t make sense is if he lost his job, how in heavens name could he pay back all this money, he sounds like a gambler. Now he could have thought no one would be the wiser, and maybe he hoped he could get away with it. If the guy had come forward of his own free will, and stated I took this money, then you might consider him at least somewhat of an honest man with a guilty consience. The guy is a disgrace to the department, and to the community, especially when you are providing a vital service to the community, and considered a community leader. Joe Pole, and Ketchenmaster also come to mind of people in responsible positions within the community who carried a badge then stole money, while they tried to cover it up.

Your right Mike I should get my own forum but I have a job already. Maybe this would be up your alley and get you back into the work force so you could contribute and not be so bitter with all this time on your hands.
