Yea Pete, and it doesn’t surprise me that the Fargo Forum actually writes stories about low quality unhealthy food coming to Fargo. This paper lacks critical journalism. Why can’t the story read: “Another fast food restaurant coming to Fargo” and then discuss the how chain restaurants (and stores) are ruining our city. Does anyone really believe that SONIC will make visitors go “Gee, we should go to Fargo. They have a SONIC restaurant we can visit.” Give me a break.
Unfortunately, in some respects, part of the job of a business section of a newspaper is to give free advertising/publicity to a business that is either actually locating here or is looking at locating here. I have heard rumors of a Sonic coming to Fargo for years; but nothing to this point has ever been substantiated.
Sonic has much the crazy follwing as Krispy Kreme Doughnut shops had before that company’s demise in the midst of the economic slowdown. I remember when the Krispy Kreme opened on the corner of 13th Ave. and 45th St. They had to hire extra security just to get people in and out of that place.
Sounds good, but I’m still waiting for Trader Joe’s!

Great news. There is a shortage of grease soaked sludge in this town.
It doesn’t even surprise me anymore how excited people around here get over low quality unhealthy food. Still pretty sad though.

I can’t wait for jalapeño cheeseburgers. We hardly ever eat out, but when we do we want something good and at least Sonic will fulfill that role.
