Davison, Beadle juvenile contract renewed

Davison County commissioners renewed a juvenile detention contract Tuesday with Beadle County for 2011, but at a slightly higher cost.
Jail Administrator Don Radel said Beadle County proposed a rate of $160 a day, which is $20 higher than this year.
Vice Chairman John Claggett noted the county also contracts with Volunteers of America in Sioux Falls for $110 a day, Chamberlain Academy at $145 a day and Minnehaha County Juvenile Detention Center at $215 a day. Continue Reading
