Alexandria taxpayers should prepare for another property tax increase.

•The budget reflects a 2 percent increase in employee wages. Last year, wages were frozen. Also, planned salary adjustments for department heads, which were delayed this year, are included in the 2011 budget…………… Salary increases are wrong in this environment – wrong wrong wrong wrong!

I agree with Randy. Tax increases to support salary increases for government workers and department heads is definitely sending the wrong message in this economy. The department heads should be leading by example and not accept the salary increases.
