Florida pastor strikes reported deal with leader of planned NYC Islamic center, cancels Quran burning
September 9, 2010 at 12:20 pm in West Central Tribune
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) – The minister of a Florida church said he has canceled plans to burn copies of the Quran because the leader of a much-opposed plan to build an Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its location. The agreement couldn’t be immediately confirmed. Continue Reading

The hypocrite got his 15 minutes of fame so now with the help of the media he can continue to put our troops in harms way because he doesn’t have to pickup a rifle and go to the middle east, wow isn’t that just righteous. Hey maybe we can find out if he mis-used the funding he was accused of at his former church. I hope he doesn’t dare try to claim he is Christian because Christians don’t act this way, but then again how many hypocrites have gone this route?

Another post by the omniscient jd, full of useless rhetoric. “put our troops in harms way”…”maybe we can find out if he mis-used the funding he was accused of at his former church”…”I hope he doesn’t dare try to claim he is Christian”…and on and on. Thank you jd, for enlightening us rubes out in cornfield county, and reminding us that you people in the DC area have your thumb on the pulse of the nation.

Yep – Obama sent in the strom troopers who threatened, cajoled, and intimidated this nut job into cancelling the plans to burn the Quran. That all powerful Obama and his army of evil minions have again thwarted another pitiful attempt by the smaller righteous Average Joe Citizen to stand up for his personal freedoms. Obama has us all under his oppressive thumb.
Excuse me now – I have to go run and hide… I hear the distant stomping of evil minion boots… coming to get me because I dared to speak up, even a little…. YIKES!!
ROTFLMAO!!!

Harold – you are a disgusting fellow if you think burning Qurans and inciting anger in Muslims all over the world is “freedom of speech” – this makes us all less safe.

And Randy you are ignorant if you think not burning the Quran will make us any safer or any better in the eyes of muslims.

“Is it just me, or does Islam’s repeated threats of violence and mayhem at every provocation — real or imagined — strike anybody else as the actions of a spoiled child’s tantrums? And if they’re such a religion of peace, what is it we have to fear from their tantrums in the first place?
Moreover, does our continued feckless caving into this religion of peace’s repeated threats strike anyone else as the misguided actions of a wimpy, enabling parent? Sure looks that way to me….”
“Truth be told, the only part of this story that is newsworthy is how it illustrates a continued Neville Chamberlain-style appeasement policy on the part of our leaders towards Islam (that well-known religion of peace). It is nauseating and self-defeating….”

Mike, Harold, Kevin, and Bob, since we fared so well with a Holy War during the Crusades, maybe you would want to try that again?

The Christians stopped the Muslim advance in Europe in France. Had Charles Martel not defeated the Muslim butchers at Tours we would likely all be speaking Arabic today and be either Muslim or dead. Horray for the Christian stand against tyranny!

Roger, may happen again but at least I don’t want to be setting on the sidelines. We have done that far too long and many continue to agree to do so. Where are the moderate and conservative Muslims, who should be stepping forward to denounce the extremists to end their atrocities and practice the kind, gentle, and peaceful Islamic religion they say they espouse and believe in? Doing so would end a lot of the distrust and end the thoughts and acts of intolerance being practiced by the extremists.

I wonder where all these libtards were when someone used tax dollars from the NEA to stick a crucifix in a jar of urine and called it “art” Where were they to condemn that act. Oh, that’s right, defending his freedom of speech. See, if you are a liberal or a muslim and you desecrate some one else’s religious or national symbols it is a-ok and freedom of speech. But if you’re a conservative, you don’t get freedom of speech; you’re just branded a racist and accused of fostering hate.

The terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics, a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teachings of Islam.

If, in a perfect world, we could remove all troops from areas with these psychotic maniacs, I would host one myself just to root out the nutjobs so we could catch and deport or incarcerate.
