This is Beck’s SECOND foray into the Fargo market.
He was on KQWB “Talk Radio 1660″ up until it changed format to ESPN Radio several years ago.

Beck does some wild stuff on his television show but I have taken a liking to his radio show yet. Maybe it takes some time. Funnier than heck though.

I may actually start to listen to the radio

More flapping lips political shows. You’ve heard one right wing or left wing radio show they all dump the same bs propaganda. I will be turning off WDAY until Gabriel is on.

I appreciate Beck because he brings us news that no other station will cover. His tv show was the first to expose the border problems in Arizona years ago. He seems to have a conscience and know the different between right and wrong. I don’t take my faith from him but like just about everything else.

Really his tv show was the first to expose border problems? Pretty sure Lou Dobbs has been talking about this for the last 15 years +. Then again he probably told you that and being the sheep you are you followed along with it.
How do you figure he has a conscience? This guy does nothing but spew hate and does only what will get him attention.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 58 35
Oh, on the contrary, it is the liberal talk/tv show hosts that spew hatred. Big Eddy, that unfortunate looking young man, Rachel Maddow, Alan Colmbes and Keith Olberman just to name a few of these mindless lib-bots. I’m starting to believe that liberalism actually IS a mental disorder. Get over your childish foot-stomping and accept the fact that Conservatives are the “grown-ups” in the world. Just because you don’t like what they say, doesn’t make it any less true.
Poorly-rated. Like or Dislike: 31 46
It’s actually spelled Colmes. There is trash talking on both sides. I’m not sure which conservative it was on KFGO, but I was sat in utter disbelief as this guy repeated the phrase “Obama does not care about you” and “Obama does not care about the middle class”. That is just being irresponsible. I heard quite a few liberal radio hosts go off about W’s policies and the irresponsibility that went along with them. But to hear these conservatives just try and breed hate and anger when many that listen are only getting their news from that source is just foolish. They have no examples to illustrate their reasoning for saying it. It’s an attempt to brainwash, yes brainwash, these people.

Looking forward to this show, I enjoy his tv show.

And for the record, I do not align myself with either party. I will vote based on a persons platform and their goals while in office. I voted for W in 2000 and 2004 and I voted for Obama in 2008. Just so you know where I’m coming from.

”The only [Katrina victims] we’re seeing on television are the scumbags.”
”I’m thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. … No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong?”
”You know, we all have our inner demons. I, for one — I can’t speak for you, but I’m on the verge of moral collapse at any time. It can happen by the end of the show.”
”I could give a flying crap about the political process … We’re an entertainment company.”
”When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh shut up’ I’m so sick of them because they’re always complaining.”
”Roosevelt…Am I wrong by saying there was a good portion of people that thought, ‘Holy cow, I’m glad he’s dead. He was turning into a dictator.”’
”I am not saying that Barack Obama is a fascist. If I’m not mistaken, in the early days of Adolf Hitler, they were very happy to line up for help there as well. I mean, the companies were like, ‘Hey, wait a minute. We can get, you know, we can get out of trouble here. They can help, et cetera, et cetera.”’
”Every night I get down on my knees and pray that Dennis Kucinich will burst into flames.”
”I say on the air all time, ‘if you take what I say as gospel, you’re an idiot.”

He should have listened to his mother advice, then maybe he wouldn’t be going blind. But boys will be boys and play with their toys.

Amazing that so many in the F-M area do not, and do not intend to listen to both sides of any of the issues that effect all of us. It would make for a better discussions if more were better informed. Biased is biased — makes no difference if it comes from the Left or the Right.

Beck is an idiot. do they have any old 16-inch acetates of Father Conlin and his goat-gland extract around in the (small) basement archive? that would be better talk radio and more to the point than Glennie crying.

Talk show hosts, left and right, are nothing but entertainers telling what you want to hear in a way you want to hear it. They need ratings to stay employed. Get your news from a news source such as the AP or Reuters or NPR and then read, listen discern and decide. That way you make your own decision instead of some bovine flatulence from a talk show host.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 46 17
How many Glenn Beck haters have actually listened or watched one of his shows ? I’ll bet every one of you haters has formed your opinion based on what you heard someone else say or write or on a 20 second sound bite someone like Olbermann cherry picked. I don’t listen regularly but I’ve heard enough to know he is definitely not right-wing. It appears many here have bought into the propaganda that if someone believes we should spend less than we make, our rights were bestowed by a creator and government exists to protect those rights (not hand out entitlements or bailouts), citizens have the right to be armed if they chose, government should be frugal with the money some of us work very hard to earn, 47% of Americans not paying any income tax is unfair and 1 in 6 on some type of government assistance is unsustainable, they must be a right wing extremist. Someone who believes things like this must be a crazy ……… How many of you have heard of the Black Robed Regiment? Look it up, something you were never taught in school about the formation of our county, but taught by Beck. How many of you know who Crispus Attucks, Richard Allen, or Absalom Jones were? Look them up you’ll be surprised to learn they were all black men who were instrumental in the formation of this country…….just another topic covered by that racist Beck on one of his shows. Which is funny I can’t figure out why a right wing racist would tell people about stuff like that…oh yea it must be for the ratings.

Raven, when you listen to editorialized news, most television and radio stations, you get bias. When you get bias you do not get truth. Get into the independent sources and you will get much better info. If you like the pablum served up on talk radio it is available too but you’re just listening to someone preach to the choir. Just a thought.
Well-loved. Like or Dislike: 29 9
Dave – Really, gee I never realized editorialized news and talk radio is biased? Thanks for setting me straight, now it all makes sense, I was so confused before. If a talk show host says our history is being revised for political purposes, then interviews authors and PHD’s who have studied the founding documents and letters written between the men who formed our country. Then has these recognized experts explain what was actually written and what actually happened and points out discrepancies from what we are all taught. Would you say that person is biased to the left, to the right or is independant?

It’s fun to play the “What if Beck had been around in…” game.
Like if Beck had been around in 1960, he’d be all about putting MLK on his little chalkboard and talking about his communist associates.
If he had been around in 1773, he’d be freaking out about the atheist revolutionaries who don’t even respect the King. Dude is straight reactionary, and the increasing amount of religion in his show is scary.
The most ironic point is this guy likely believes none of this. He has said before he is an entertainer and a businessman and right now he is delivering his niche message to a bunch of people who aren’t thinking critically.
This is best summed up on a recent Daily Show episode, where Jon basically shows a clip where Beck says “dont listen to those who tell you what to do” followed by a bunch of stuff where he tells them what to do. Don’t forget about him shilling for that Goldline company that is now under investigation.
