I pray he will not be replaced with another neo-con, yet a principled man of the free market.

I liked scott’s show but sometimes it felt like you were listening to a national show. Maybe he is better suited for a bigger market. I can’t stand any of the other local talk shows.

Nobody knows for sure, but I will give you my take, or guess, if it matters. For the most part when you listen to commercials on the flag, it is for Christ Serve Ranch, or had some religious connotation about Noah and creation. If people wanted to listen to a Christian station, they would tune to a Christian station. The only other commercials I can really remember hearing were about the benefits of advertising on the radio, so they were advertising to try and get accounts to advertise on their station. I’m not saying they don’t have the right to run religious commercials, this is America they can run whatever they want. If I was a business owner however, I would not want to run commercials on a station that would be preceded or followed by a commercial asking for a donation to a religious based children’s camp. This commercial was played at times more than once during a single commercial break, so you have to wonder if this was one of their only accounts. I consider myself a conservative, but stopped listening except from 11 am to 2 pm daily because the commercials were so redundant, and his show had nothing new. It was predictable what would be talked about every show, so it lost its luster fast. I think it was a good decision for the board of directors to remove him for the benefit of the station. I think his religious beliefs were pushed so much because he didn’t have original ideas to argue his conservative philosophy, so religion was his back up. You don’t need to use religion to argue conservative values and I believe he oversaturated his religion and that was his downfall. People don’t want to be preached at when they tune into a talk radio station. Like I said, if people wanted to listen to a religious station, they would tune to a religious station.

You’ve probably nailed it here. I agree with the observation on the type of advertising. The broadcast media makes its money on ad revenues-not “freebie”s for non-profits, They certainly weren’t bringing in much revenue here.

Oh, ah hahahaha. Don’t cry too hard for him, he’s bought and paid for by the Republican party. I stopped listened a while back after 2008 elections when he wouldn’t give time & day to anyone wanting to talk about Ron Paul. He got too big for his britches and the Flag made me nauseous with all the repetition. Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice.

Why can’t people be proud of their faith, much less wear there religion on their sleeve? That’s what this country is all about.

The owners at The Flag must have tired of the off-air arrogance and indifference towards others. Must have been pretty serious if they pulled him off the air as well. He was engaging for a show or two, but very redundant to listen to on a regular basis.

“Solely responsible” goes both ways. Now, the only interaction that he will have is on the outside looking in-should he choose to walk up to his old haunt on Broadway and press his nose against the glass looking in at the studio.

Haaaa! Come on Forum why aren’t you reporting the whole story? Are you a bit more careful to report bad news about one of your own? That is a right winger, which it has become apparent is the direction this paper leans. Of course Mr. Hennen had ventured even further down the right wing road into the Mad Hatter’s tea party land.
I cannot wait until the whole story comes out and all of you so called “patriots” and “good Christians” see what your fearless leader was up to behind the scenes. As seems to be a common occurrence on the right, once again you will find you have been following a money hungry criminal. And I will laugh, and laugh.
True patriots and good Christians are those that want their country and their world to be a better place and are willing to make tough sacrifices, whether they are monetary or inconveniences, in order for that to happen. True Christians are not fueled by hate and racism, but by acceptance and open hearts. I believe you all need to go back and read your bibles, that is if you have ever read them in the first place. Shame on you for trying to speak for God and saying he would condone the hate you breed.

I saw Scott on tv a couple times in the last month or so. In truth, he looks like death warmed over. My politics are on the opposite end of the scale but I hate to anyone lose a job. I wish him well.

The flag is the radio station I listen to the most. I cannot stand Rush, so I turn it during his show, but like Hannity, and Levin, while very insulting to those who disagree with him is right on target with the pulse of the conservative side of politics.
I’ve met Scott on numerous occasions and he was always very polite. I wish him the best, and hope that the station keeps a conservative viewpoint, but with more local talent and a smartphone app that can be loaded to listen while away.

I got very tired of the commercial for Christ Serve Ranch too; and then asking the community to donate went against my grain.

For those who say people are saying mean things about Scott, part of this is Karma, both Scott & Steve Cates were quick to condemn, ridicule, maim, make things up about anyone who worked at WSI under the Blunt regime w/o disregards for the truth or the feelings of these people. I know several people they spoke about in their zeal to put their spin on the WSI issue. Yes Karma is sometimes a wonderful thing. And I do agree that I don’t want anyone to lose a job, but that is not what Scott and Cates wanted in regards to employees at WSI, so who is the bigger person here.

I can get tired of the repetition that I hear in conservative talk radio and often times, I simply have to turn it off, especially when some idiot calls in who is entirely clueless concerning facts. Scott’s show wasn’t so often a victim of this but the national shows get hit with all sorts. People who call in, can’t answer a single question without either changing the subject or becoming obnoxious. Ellen, who Scott talked to daily, is an EXPERT at changing the subject, failing to answer simple questions etc….because facts have no place in their mind as it conflicts with their agenda. Sorry to see Scott leave and hope his health improves.
