This is a misdirected solution to the problem.
THe pharmaceuticals are charging huge prices because they know they can. They need to make max profits so they can develop NEW drugs to overcharge us for. Once a drug goes on generic, they cannot do this anymore.
The pharmaceuticals need to be regulated, and putting it on the backs of the pharmacists is wrong. Pharmacists don’t make the profits.
Although large outlets can offer cheaper medicines, its not going to get Walmart to open stores in small communities, thus those pharmacists are safe.
The whole topic begs the question… why does Walmart get their meds so much cheaper than local pharmacists?
Equalize THAT, not legislate free market.
