I have to say I would also be against the ‘code of behavior’. As it is… behavior is so subjective, if you have a supervisor the least bit ‘grudge-holding’, narcisstic, a power monger, well….you get the idea….employees could be ‘targeted’.
….it reads…..’The code bans inappropriate behavior, such as profanity or sexual advances. It also prohibits overt behaviors, such as verbal outbursts or “quietly exhibiting uncooperative attitudes during routine activities.†Examples include a condescending voice or impatience with reasonable questions…..’
A condescending voice????? Impatience???? Anyone in a hurry could be accused of impatience….gee whiz.

The code of conduct doesn’t seem to be out of line to me. If I were a patient, I would expect a level of professionalism for all the people working on me. I wouldn’t want nurses at the foot of my bed having an argument about my care right in front of me.
